چکیده
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is recognized as the leading cause of community-acquired lower respiratory tract infection in children, accounting for a significant proportion pediatric mortality. Macrolides are first-line treatment M. infections. However, extensive use macrolides clinical practice resulted emergence macrolide-resistant (MRMP), which has negative impact on outcomes. Hence, present study, MRMP was determined hospitalized children with pneumonia (CAP). Real-time PCR detected 41 348 samples. Sanger sequencing revealed that none isolates were associated A2063G or A2064G base mutation, confers macrolide resistance, domain V 23S rRNA gene. Although not observed CAP our healthcare practitioners should be vigilant about potential risk

Emergence of macrolide-resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae with a 23S rRNA gene mutation.
A total of 195 Mycoplasma pneumoniae strains were isolated from 2,462 clinical specimens collected between April 2002 and March 2004 from pediatric outpatients with respiratory tract infections. Susceptibilities to six macrolide antibiotics (ML), telithromycin, minocycline, levofloxacin, and sitafloxacin were determined by the microdilution method using PPLO broth. A total of 183 M. pneumoniae ...
متن کاملMacrolide-resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae: its role in respiratory infection.
Although the clinical relevance of antibiotic treatment in influencing the natural course of Mycoplasma pneumoniae-associated respiratory diseases is questioned by some physicians, most experts suggest that antibiotics should be systematically used in patients with M. pneumoniae respiratory infections, especially those involving the lower respiratory tract. Macrolides (MLs), tetracyclines (TCs)...
متن کاملDominant Obligate Anaerobes Revealed in Lower Respiratory Tract Infection in Horses by 16S rRNA Gene Sequencing
Obligate anaerobes are important etiological agents in pneumonia or pleuropneumonia in horses, because they are isolated more commonly from ill horses that have died or been euthanized than from those that survive. We performed bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing for obligate anaerobes to establish effective antimicrobial therapy. We used 16S rRNA gene sequencing t...
متن کاملextremal region detection guided by maxima of gradient magnitude
a problem of computer vision applications is to detect regions of interest under dif- ferent imaging conditions. the state-of-the-art maximally stable extremal regions (mser) detects affine covariant regions by applying all possible thresholds on the input image, and through three main steps including: 1) making a component tree of extremal regions’ evolution (enumeration), 2) obtaining region ...
Macrolide Resistance–associated 23S rRNA Mutation in Mycoplasma genitalium, Japan
because we included samples from children hospitalized with or without respiratory disease. BLAST search (www.ncbi.nlm. nih.gov/blast/Blast.cgi) and phylogenetic analysis of amplicons from PCR and nested PCR indicated that samples were positive for HKU1 genotype B (samples BRA169, BRA90, and BRA99) or HKU1 genotype A (samples BRA09, BRA37, and BRA104). The sequences obtained in this study have ...
